Silversmith courses allow you to learn basic skills and to create beautiful jewellery that you can take home on the day. The items created depend on previous experience and the length of course booked. As an example on a one day course you will be able to make a ring and loop clasp bangle

All materials needed to make the piece/s that you take home on the day. An information pack and light refreshments are also included (but not lunch)

Do I need any experience?

Courses are geared from beginners upwards. Classes have a maximum of four students. Each student is able to learn at their pace and work to their ability

Course Content and Prices

Taster

Learn the basics of silversmithing including tools and techniques. This course covers cutting, shaping, soldering, finishing and polishing. Each student creates a handcrafted Sterling Silver ring to take home. All students also receive an information pack including a ‘wish list’ of tools, technical information and an explanation of hallmarking protocols

One Day

As for the Taster plus an additional project is undertaken to consolidate the skills learned so far - a Sterling Silver loop clasp bangle

£125 Approx 6 hours

Two Day

As for One Day Course plus building on your skills from day one you will learn a simple stone setting technique and complete a further project - A bezel set pendant

£210 2 x 6 hour sessions

Day two can be bought as a stand alone course if you have previous experience or have completed at least a Taster Course
